STRAWBERRY TRIFLE 
1 cake layer (white, yellow or strawberry)
1 (16 oz.) carton sliced strawberries
1 (5 oz.) box vanilla pudding & pie filling, prepared as directed on package, cooled
1 sm. carton whipped topping or 1 env. Dream Whip, prepared as directed
Toasted slivered almonds
Can add bananas, if desired

Slice cake layer crosswise and fit into a pan or casserole dish, inside up. Cover cake with strawberries and juice. Cover with half of the prepared pudding. Repeat layers. Cool in refrigerator, preferably about 4 hours. Top with whipped topping. Just before serving, sprinkle on a few slivered almonds.
