SPICED CANNED FIGS 
4 qt. figs, wash well

In large pot add 2 quarts boiling water; set 5 minutes. Drain. Make a spice bag, 1 stick cinnamon, 1 tablespoon whole cloves, 1 tablespoon allspice. Put in gauze bag and tie. Drop into 1 cup vinegar, 1 cup water and 6 cups sugar. Bring to boil until sugar is dissolved. Add the figs to boil 10 minutes. Let stand overnight. Every day for 3 days, boil. Put in sterilized jars. Label and date.
