SMOTHERED ONIONS 
1 lb. onions, peeled and sliced (4 med.)
2 tbsp. beef or chicken broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. minced parsley

In heavy skillet cook all ingredients except parsley on medium heat until onions are tender. Stir in parsley. Serve with broiled meat or fish. Serves 4.
