BANANA BREAD 
1 3/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. ripe bananas, mashed well
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine dry ingredients in bowl. Set aside. Cream shortening and sugar until smooth. Add eggs. Blend again until smooth. Add bananas in small portions alternating with additions of flour mixture until all is blended together. Fold in pecans. Pour into bread pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes.
