I made these a little different as I'm allergic to peanut butter so I put cashews in my food processor with butter sugar and a little vanilla so good and then put the cashew butter in with the oats and cocoa.

Same recipe but no peanut butter and 1 tsp vanilla. Always saved the peanut butter for sandwiches. Kids still love them today. Passed down from my mom!

I have found these have a problem getting firm if it is raining when you make them. They are also known as Amish Funeral cookies.

If cookies are runny add confectioners' sugar, if dry add a little milk. Works every time.

Best cookies to make when you're in a hurry... They are easy, tasty, and you know everyone likes them when they disappear within like one day.
