1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus German chocolate cake mix
3 eggs
1/2 c. softened butter
2 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. vanilla
1 can cherry pie filling
4 tbsp. melted butter

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a medium size bowl combine the following: 1 egg, cake mix and 1/2 cup softened butter. Mix until crumbly. Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Mix. Pat mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan.

In another medium size bowl, combine the following: cream cheese, 2 eggs, 3/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons vanilla. Mix until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons of melted butter; mix. Pour mixture over first layer in 9 x 13 inch pan.

Bake 20-25 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool. Top with cherry pie filling. Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.
