CARAMEL NUT POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 lb. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar

Cream.

5 eggs, one at a time

3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Alternate with 1 cup milk.

1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans

Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Turn out cooled cake and sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
