TOP OF THE STOVE CASSEROLE 
16 oz. egg noodles
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. sized chopped onion
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (10 oz.) can cheddar cheese soup
4-6 oz. fresh mushrooms, chopped
1 c. sour cream (8 oz.)
1 tsp. oregano

Cook noodles in boiling water as directed by package. Drain and keep warm. While noodles cook, brown ground beef and onions. Drain off excess fat. Combine ground beef mixture, soups, mushrooms, sour cream, and oregano in large saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Do not boil. Serve over noodles. Serves 8.
