TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
1/2 c. sour milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 c. sugar

Put butter, water and cocoa in a pan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add to flour mixture in a large bowl and stir with spoon. Then add sour milk, eggs and baking soda. Beat well (will be watery). Pour onto a greased and floured cookie sheet, 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch.

Bake for 25 minutes at 375°F.

Topping:

1/2 c. (1 stick) butter
4 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 (1 lb.) box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (optional)

In saucepan, cook until smooth the butter, milk and cocoa. Remove from heat and add powdered sugar and vanilla. Spoon over cooled cake and sprinkle with nuts, if desired.
