2 3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. Karo syrup
Nuts, raisins, or both
2 egg whites
3/4 c. water

Boil until crisp in cold water (hard crack stage). Remove from fire and pour over whites. Beat until almost set, add nuts and mold.
