GRANDMA TERRY'S ONION DRESSING 
4 loaves stale bread
1 1/2 lb. butter
2 tbsp. sage
1 tbsp. pepper
6 lg. onions, peeled and sliced

Fry onions in butter until light brown, then add to crumbed bread, sage, and pepper. No other moisture is necessary.

If there is more than enough to put in turkey, cook in double boiler about 2 hours. Add some of the turkey drippings as the stuffing cooks. This is ample dressing for a large turkey.
