POPPY SEED LEMON LOAF 
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
Grated lemon rind
1/8 c. poppy seeds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Add rest; mix with a spoon. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake 1 hour.

Topping: Juice of 1 lemon and 1/3 cup sugar; mix. Cool loaf 15 minutes in pan, then drizzle with topping.
