SPANISH PORK CHOPS 
6 thick pork chops
2/3 c. rice
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lg. bay leaf (crumbled)
3 med. chopped onions
1 can pear tomatoes, undrained

Lightly brown pork chops and place in casserole. Sprinkle rice over chops; add salt, pepper, bay leaf and chopped onions. Pour tomatoes and juice over all. Cover; bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Place chops on top of rice; adding water if rice seems to be sticking. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
