SWISS/CHEDDAR BREAD 
1 lg. loaf French bread
Sliced American or Swiss cheese

SAUCE:

3/4 c. butter
2 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Place a double thickness of foil on work surface; place loaf of bread on top of foil (after bread is prepared it will be sealed tightly with this foil).

Slice bread 1 inch thick, not quite cutting all the way through loaf. Fold each slice of cheese in half, and insert between bread slices.

Combine all sauce ingredients in small sauce or frying pan; simmer for 2-3 minutes; pour over bread. Seal loaf with foil. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes; open foil at top and bake an additional 5 minutes to crisp tops of slices.
