FARM STYLE DUMPLINGS 
1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. shortening
Milk

Sift together dry ingredients. Work in shortening with fingers. Add enough milk to make a very stiff dough. Roll out on a well floured board about 1/8 inch thick. Cut in strips and drop in boiling chicken broth along with cooked chicken. Cover, lower heat and cook slowly for about 20 minutes. (Do not take lid off.)
