BAKED GREEN BEANS AND MUSHROOMS 
4 c. bread cubes
1/2 c. melted butter
2 cans cut green beans, drained
2 cans sliced mushrooms, drained
Salt and pepper to taste
1 sm. onion, diced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 soup can milk
1/4 c. toasted slivered almonds (optional)

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss the bread cubes with butter and place half the bread cubes in a greased 2-quart casserole. Cover with beans and top with mushrooms.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper and onion. Combine the soup and milk and mix well. Pour over onion. Top with remaining bread cubes and almonds. Bake for 30 minutes. 8 servings.
