GREEN BEANS WITH MUSHROOMS AND
WATER CHESTNUTS
 
3/4 lb. fresh green beans
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 (8 oz.) can sliced water chestnuts
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. (or less) salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

Place beans in a vegetable steamer over boiler water. Cook 15-25 minutes or until beans are nearly tender. Add mushrooms the last 5 minutes, add water chestnuts the last 3 minutes. Spoon beans into serving bowl, toss with lemon juice, salt and pepper.
