BAKED BEEF STEAK 
1 1/2 lb. round steak
flour (to coat steak with)
oil (for browning steak)
1 medium to large onion, sliced
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 can tomatoes
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tsp. Worcestershire
3 tsp. lemon juice
dash of Tabasco
1 tsp. prepared mustard
salt and pepper

Pound flour into steaks on both sides.

In a large skillet, brown steak on both sides in about 1/4-inch of oil. Salt and pepper the steak and place in a baking dish. Spread sliced onion over top of steak.

In small saucepan, combine all other ingredients and cook until it just reaches a boil. Pour over steak and onions.

Bake at 325°F for 1 to 1 1/2 hours to very tender.

Serves at least 4 to 6.
