DIVINE PECAN CAKE 
2 sticks butter (no substitutions)
2 sticks butter
3 1/3 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 c. chopped pecans
4 c. all-purpose flour

Cream butter and butter with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Sift flour with baking powder, add to batter alternately with the vanilla and milk. Stir in pecans. Turn into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake in 325 degree oven for 1 1/2-2 hours or until done when tested with a cake tester. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then remove and finish cooking on cake rack. Needs no frosting.
