ORANGE PINEAPPLE SALAD 
1 lg. can crushed pineapple
1/2 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. orange Jello
1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1 c. chopped pecans
12 oz. box Cool Whip
2 c. ice water

Heat pineapple, sugar and Jello until dissolved well. Remove from heat and add 2 cups ice water. Cool, you can put it in the freezer until almost congealed. Combine Jello mixture with grated cheese and nuts. Add Cool Whip and mix well. Refrigerate.
