GOLD CAKE 
1 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
10 egg yolks
1/2 c. hot water
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. sugar

Sift the flour, baking powder and salt 3 times. Set aside. Beat the egg yolks well and then gradually add the hot water, beating until very light. Beat in the lemon extract and sugar. Fold in flour, 1/4 cup at a time. Pour into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or so. Invert pan and let hang until cool.
