ITALIAN MEATBALLS AND SAUCE 
MEATBALLS:

1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 lb. hot sausage
1 sm. onion, chopped
3 eggs
5 slices wet bread
3 tbsp. oregano
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tbsp. Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. pepper
1 tbsp. sweet basil
2 tbsp. salt

SAUCE:

2 (32 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) tomato paste
1 (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. oregano
1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

Mix all meatball ingredients well. Make into 1 inch balls. Heat sauce ingredients and add meatballs. Cook covered over medium to low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Serve as main dish or with spaghetti. Also good for meatball hoagies with melted Mozzarella cheese. Makes approximately 40 meatballs.

Made only the meatballs. They would be incredible if there was way less pepper. Recipe asks for 2 tbsp. pepper, 2 tbsp. salt. After adding the pepper I thought, Wow that's alot. So I only added 1 tbsp of salt. I would suggest teaspoons, not tablespoons. Try 2 tsp of pepper, 2 tsp of salt. I will try that with the next batch.
