APPLE CRISP 
8-10 apples, peeled & sliced
1 c. white sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1 c. + 2 tbsp. flour
1 c. oatmeal
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 heaping tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. melted butter

Put apples in greased 13"x9" pan. Mix sugar, cornstarch, water and vanilla; cook over low heat until thick and transparent. Pour hot sauce over apples. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over apples and sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream or whipped cream.
