1 c. flour 1/3 c. brown sugar 6 tbsp. butter 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese 1/4 c. granulated sugar 1 egg 2 tbsp. milk 1/4 tsp. lemon zest 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 tbsp. walnuts, chopped In large bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter to make fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup crumbs for topping. Press remainder into ungreased 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees 12-15 minutes. In mixing bowl, cream granulated sugar and cream cheese. Add egg, milk, lemon peel, lemon juice and vanilla. Beat well. Spread batter over crust. Stir nuts into topping. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes until set. Cool. Cut into squares. |
