SWEET POTATO CASSEROLE 
3 c. sweet potatoes, or 4 good sized potatoes
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk

TOPPING:

1/3 c. melted butter
3/4 c. light brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts

Boil and mash potatoes. Mix in sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla and milk. Put in a lightly greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. For topping, melt butter and mix in remaining ingredients. Scatter on top of potato mixture. Miniature marshmallows may also be added, if desired. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees, uncovered.

Serves 10 to 12.
