OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
6 slices day old bread, crusts removed
2 tbsp. melted butter
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. raisins
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Brush bread with melted butter and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Cut each slice into quarters. Arrange in baking dish. Sprinkle with raisins. Beat eggs lightly, stir in sugar, milk, vanilla. Stir until sugar dissolves. Pour over bread and raisins. Set baking dish in pan containing water and come up sides of dish 1 inch. Bake 55 to 60 minutes at 350 degrees.
