BARBECUED SPARE RIBS 
3 to 4 lbs. ribs
1 lemon
1 lg. onion
1 c. ketchup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 c. water

Place ribs in shallow baking pan, meaty side up. On each piece, place a slice of lemon or onion. Roast in a very hot oven (450 degrees) for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil and pour over ribs. Continue baking in moderate oven (350 degrees) until tender about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 minutes.
