PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL RAISIN
COOKIES
 
2 c. raisins
1 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. quick cooking rolled oats

Sift together first 4 ingredients. Blend shortening with peanut butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming thoroughly. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted ingredients. Add oats and raisins. Blend well Drop by teaspoon on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Makes 5 dozen.
