ELEGANT LAYERED DESSERT 
3/4 c. crushed nuts
1 c. flour
1 cube butter, soft

Mix thoroughly, pat into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

2ND LAYER:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2/3 c. powdered sugar
1/2 of a lg. container Cool Whip

Beat together and spread on crust.

3RD LAYER:

2 sm. pkgs. instant pudding, any flavor
2 1/2 c. cold milk

Beat until thickened, spread on top of second layer.

4TH LAYER:

Spread remaining Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with nuts.

PUMPKIN VERSION: 2 small packages of vanilla instant pudding, 1 cup pumpkin, 1/2 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon cloves and 2 1/4 cups cold milk.
