4-LAYER PISTACHIO DESSERT 
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pistachios
2 sticks melted butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
9 oz. Cool Whip
2 pkgs. instant pistachio pudding
3 c. cold milk
1/2 c. finely chopped pistachios

1ST LAYER: Mix together flour, 1 cup chopped pistachios, melted butter and spread in 13"x9" ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes; cool.

2ND LAYER: Beat until smooth the cream cheese and 1 cup Cool Whip, spread over 1st layer.

3RD LAYER: Mix 2 packages of pudding and cold milk together and spread over 2nd layer.

4TH LAYER: Spread remaining Cool Whip. Sprinkle 1/2 cup nuts. Chill thoroughly.

I use two different flavors of pudding, for two layers. One is pistachio, with half of the milk. The other is chocolate, with other half of milk. I also double the cream cheese layer. I have had many people demand my dessert to be brought to our functions.
