GERMAN APPLE CAKE | |
4 c. apples, pared, cored, thin sliced 3/4 c. chopped walnuts 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 c. flour 1 c. oil 2 eggs 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 tbsp. cinnamon Beat together eggs and oil, then add sugar, vanilla, flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Mix until batter is stiff; fold in nuts and apples. Bake in 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased pan at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes. Time varies according to oven temperature. Serve warm or cool with whipped cream or ice cream. |
