CHOCOLATE PIE 
3 eggs, separated
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. Wondra or gravy flour
1 tbsp. butter

Combine well beaten egg yolks and all other ingredients. Cook slowly in double boiler, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly. Pour into baked pie shell. If using deep dish pie shell, you will need to fix 1 1/2 times the recipe.

Beat egg whites until frothy. Add 1/8 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar; continue beating until stiff peaks form. Spread over pie; bake at 375 degrees until meringue browns. Let cool completely and chill before serving.
