DATE NUT BALLS 
1 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1 med. pkg. dates
Rice crispies (2 1/2 to 3 1/2 cups)
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter, add sugar and dates. Cook 5 minutes (until dates melt) over low heat. Remove and beat until creamy. Add Rice Crispies and pecans and form into balls. Cool and roll in powdered sugar.
