HAWAIIAN BANANA BREAD 
1 1/4 c. all purpose flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening (Crisco)
2 fully ripe med. size bananas
2 eggs
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Sift dry ingredients into large bowl. Whirl remaining ingredients in a blender to form an emulsion. Add to dry ingredients and mix just until dry ingredients are moistened. Pour into lightly buttered and floured 9" square pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan about 5 minutes before turning onto rack to cool.
