4 baking apples
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Wash and core apples, being careful not to extend hole clear through apples. Combine remaining ingredients and fill apple cavities. Place in shallow pan. Bake 1 hour at 375 degrees. Serves 4.

Orange Sauce: Dissolve 1/2 cup sugar in 1 cup orange juice. Pour over stuffed apples and bake as above.
