CRAZY CRUST APPLE PIE (OPEN
FACE)
 
1 c. Pillsbury best all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
3/4 c. water
2/3 c. shortening
1 lb., 5 oz. can apple pie filling
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. apple pie spice or cinnamon

In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, egg, shortening and water. Blend well, beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer. Pour batter into 9 x 1 1/4 inch pie pan or pie dish. Combine pie filling, lemon juice and spice, pour into center of batter. Do not stir. Bake at 425 degrees for 45-50 minutes.

Here's a pie that is very simple to make, needs no rolling of dough, and is the greatest open face pie. Very delicious!

Serves 4-6 people.
