CONFECTIONERS' PECAN BALLS 
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 sticks butter
2 c. finely chopped pecans
4 tbsp. granulated sugar
Dash of salt
Confectioners' sugar to coat

Let butter soften, gradually add flour and mix with fork. Add pecans and granulated sugar and salt. Mix with hands. Shape into balls about the size of a nickel.

Place on cookie sheet, leaving approximately 3/4 to 1 inch between each. Bake at 275 degrees for 55 minutes to 1 hour. Roll the cookie balls in confectioners' sugar to coat while they are hot. Cool on a wire rack and store in tightly covered container.
