2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
1 c. apple butter
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Grease bottom of 13 x 9 pan. Combine all ingredients and blend until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour 1/2 batter into pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of topping. Spoon remaining batter over topping and spread to corners. Sprinkle with remaining topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
