NUT HORNS 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. pkg. cream cheese
1 c. confectioners sugar
6 c. all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream shortening and cream cheese together. Add sugar and mix well. Sift flour, measure and re-sift with baking powder and salt. Add to shortening mixture and mix gently to form stiff dough. Divide into 4 balls and chill overnight. Roll out on a board dusted with powdered sugar, shaping into horns and other shapes, putting a teaspoon of nut filling on each one before rolling. Bake in moderately hot oven, 375-400 degrees, until lightly browned.

FILLING:

2 lb. walnuts, ground
1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 egg whites, unbeaten

Mix well. Add 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (or more if you like), 1/4 cup melted butter and a little honey to make it spread easily.
