RUMANIAN NUT HORNS 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sour cream
1 lb. ground walnuts
1 tbsp. shortening
2 eggs, divided
2 c. flour
1 c. packed brown sugar

Cream butter, shortening, and salt. Mix egg yolks with sour cream and combine with creamed mixture. Add flour. Work into a ball; chill 8 hours.

Divide into 5 equal balls. Keep other balls refrigerated while working the dough. Roll out 1 small ball on floured surface. Cut circle into 6 or 7 wedges 2-3 inches wide.

Mix nuts, sugar, and egg whites. Put 1 teaspoon nut mixture on wide end of wedge and roll into horn shape. Repeat with other dough balls. Bake on greased, floured cookie sheets at 400 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Don't let them get too brown. Cool, dust with powdered sugar.
