DEEP DISH PIZZA 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
6 oz. can tomato paste
2 oz. can undrained mushroom stems and pieces
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1 (7.5 oz.) can refrigerator biscuits
1 c. shredded Mozzarella or Cheddar cheese

Brown ground beef with onion; drain. Stir in next 5 ingredients; simmer. Meanwhile, press biscuits into greased 9-inch pie pan to form crust. Be sure biscuits reach to top of pan.

Spoon meat mixture into crust. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers. Serves 5-6.
