GEORGIA GUMBO 
1/4 c. bacon drippings
1 lg. onion
6 tomatoes, peeled and sliced
1 qt. cut okra
1 c. boiling water
Salt and pepper to taste

Put grease in heavy frying pan. Slice onion thin and fry a very light brown. Add tomatoes, okra and water; stir often. Add seasoning when half done. Cook about 1 hour.
