CRANBERRY RELISH | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries Water Sugar 2 lg. tart green apples, peeled and cut into 8ths or 16ths Mix cranberries and 1/2 cup less water than stated on package. Cook cranberries. Remove from heat and put cranberries and liquid through food mill to remove skins. Return berries to saucepan. Add sugar to taste. Cook over low heat, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Add apples to sauce and cook until apples are tender. Refrigerate until serving time. Can be made several days ahead. It improves with age. |
