CRACKER TORTE 
3/4 c. Uneeda biscuits, finely crumbled
1 tsp. baking soda
3 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. heavy cream
1 tbsp. confectioners' sugar

Combine crumbs and baking powder. Combine egg whites, vanilla, salt and beat stiff. Add 1 cup sugar, gradually. Beat thoroughly. Fold crumb mixture and nuts into beaten egg whites. Put in 9 inch pie pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Whip cream and confectioners' sugar until stiff and spread over torte. Chill 8 hours.
