German chocolate cake mix 14 oz. caramels, pre unwrap early 1/2 c. evaporated milk 3/4 c. butter 6 oz. chocolate chips 1 c. pecans Mix cake mix according to directions. Grease and flour 13x9 pan. Pour 1/2 batter in pan. Bake 20 minutes, 350 degrees. Begin melting caramels first. Add butter and milk, melt a little more with caramels. Pour hot caramel mixture over baked batter. Sprinkle chocolate chips then pecans, remaining cake batter; swirl. Bake at least 15-20 minutes or until done. |
