1 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
12 oz. pkg. chocolate flavored chips
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs. Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes until lightly browned. Makes about 5 dozen 3 inch cookies.
