EMILY'S BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIES EVER!
 
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1/2 cup butter flavored Crisco
3 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 bag chocolate chips or chunks
1 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Cream together sugars, butter and Crisco. Then add eggs and vanilla.

In a separate bowl mix together flour, baking soda and salt. Then add to wet mixture.

Stir in chocolate chips and nuts (if using). Drop by tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 325°F for 15 minutes.

Variation: If you like chewy cookies, bake for 12 minutes.
