MAYONNAISE CAKE 
1 c. mayonnaise
2 c. flour (plain)
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar, flour, soda, and cocoa together then mix boiling water and mayonnaise. Combine the two mixtures and blend well. Add vanilla. Bake in 2 well greased and floured pans in 325 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes. When completely cool, ice.

ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. boiling water
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix water and sugar and boil until soft ball stage. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. The secret of this is soon as sugar and water come to a good boil, start pouring by spoonfuls into egg whites beating all the time. Then add vanilla and beat with spoon until cool.
