HAM BALLS WITH CHERRY SAUCE 
2 slices white bread, torn in pieces
1 lb. cooked ham, cut in cubes
1/2 lb. veal, cubed
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 sm. onion
2 tbsp. milk
1/4 tsp. pepper

CHERRY SAUCE:

1 c. cherry jelly or preserves
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground cinnamon

Grind bread, ham, veal and onion into a bowl. Add eggs, parsley, milk and pepper to bowl. Mix well. Shape into walnut-size balls. Heat oil in large skillet. Add ham balls and brown over medium heat. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Cook cherry sauce and pour over warm ham balls. (You can buy ground veal and pork at the Polish meat markets.)
