DIABETIC COOKIES 
1 c. raisins (cut in half)
1/2 c. chopped peeled apples
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. butter
1 c. water

Boil the above for 3 minutes and cool.

Sweetener to equal 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix and dump all at once in cooled mixture. Stir just to moisten. Drop into greased cookie sheet; bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. You can vary fruit if you want.
